Full-time support staff position – Masterpiece International – June 27

I’m writing to ask if you could let current students and recent graduates know that Masterpiece International is looking to fill a full-time support staff position within the Museum and Exhibition Services department. Masterpiece is a major freight forwarder, customs broker, and logistics consultant for museums in the US.

• Assist with file organization including logging and setup, import and export documentation copies, pre-advice and all file related documentation for NYC Museum Operations staff.
 
• Organize and maintain client files both in hard copy and electronic version.
 
• Assist with processing, coding and posting of accounts payable invoices related to specific files.
 
• Actively prioritize personal workflow to ensure that files are kept organized and to be able to handle unexpected problems.
 
• Provide proper and detailed information to our clients/agents/airport reps to make sure they are kept informed and provided with the most current information of any changes relating to their shipments.
 
• Maintain high level of response to all queries by clients, vendors, agents and other Masterpiece staff members.
 
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of systems including FileMaker, CargoWise, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
 
• Compliance with all governmental agencies as applicable including but not limited to Customs, BIS, TSA, USDA, FDA, USFWS and DOT.
 
• Clerical duties as needed, including but not limited to answering and directing phone calls, filing, organizing the office calendar, common area, etc.
