Paid Internship July – Dec. – Development Dept. – Aperture Foundation – March 6

My name is Emily Stewart and I am the Associate Manager of Education at Aperture Foundation, a multi-platform, non-profit photography organization that publishes photobooks and a quarterly magazine, teaches visual literacy to kids in NYC, and hosts exhibitions, workshops and lectures. At Aperture, we offer internship opportunities for motivated individuals who are eager to enter the photography and publishing communities. We are currently seeking applicants for our Elaine Goldman and John Benis Internship for New York City Students.

The Elaine Goldman and John Benis Internship is intended to provide experience in working for a not-for-profit arts organization for college students from diverse backgrounds who live in or attend school in New York City. For the Fall term (July – December), the Elaine Goldman and John Benis intern will work in the Development Department, focusing on special event production. The internship provides the opportunity for young people to familiarize themselves with the photographic community through hands-on professional experience, as well as enrichment activities such as lunch with Aperture’s various departments and field trips to museums and galleries.

The selected person will receive a $2,800 stipend for a part-time, six-month term beginning in July.

If you know any students or recent alumni who might be interested, please pass along this information and direct them to our website to learn more about the position and application requirements: https://aperture.org/internships/elaine-goldman-john-benis-internship/. I also appreciate any suggestions on how best to reach out to students directly about this opportunity. Please note, we are currently accepting applications for this position with an application deadline of March 15th.

If you have any questions about the program or about Aperture please let me know!

Warm regards,
Emily
