CURATORIAL INTERNSHIP

Curatorial interns assist the exhibitions department in all aspects of exhibition development and management. Curatorial responsibilities include: initiating exhibition projects; liaising with co-organizing and participating institutions; working closely with guest curators to shape exhibitions and realize loans; placement of exhibitions at host museums; collaborating with publications, development, communications, and other departments. Curatorial interns will be required to assist in the curatorial and administrative preparations for exhibitions, including: art-historical and exhibitions research; database management; assembling exhibition proposal materials; drafting correspondence; and maintaining files.

Qualifications:
Major in Art History, Museum Studies, or related disciplines and/or have demonstrated interest or skills in these disciplines. Excellent written and oral communications skills are required, along with superb research and organizational skills, and proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently. Candidates must have computer literacy in Word and Excel; familiarity with FileMaker and/or TMS is preferred.
