Paid FT Internship – U.S. Army Center of Military History – May 17

Dear Sir/Ma'am,
I am reaching out to provide information on a civilian job opportunity
with the U.S. Army Center of Military History.  The link below is for a
job announcement in USAJobs, the federal government hiring web site.  The
position involves a two-year fulltime internship with the Center.  During
the first year the person selected will serve as a GS-7 (a starting salary
of $44,941 in the DC area); they will serve as a GS-9 in their second year
(salary of $54,972).  Upon successful completion of the internship, and
presuming there is a permanent position available, the person will be
promoted to GS-11 (starting salary of $66,510 in the DC area).  The
selectee will have to sign a mobility agreement to accept a museum
position anywhere in the Army at the completion of the two-year
internship, but the first two yeawill be spent largely or entirely in
DC.  If at the end of two years they are assigned to a different location
and accept the permanent position, their relocation costs will be paid by
the Army.

The Center of Military history manages more than fifty base and unit
museums around the country and overseas, as well as two museum support
centers housing hundreds of thousands of artifacts, and is in the process
of building the National Museum of the US Army in northern Virginia.
