Volunteer wanted – Old Guard Museum for Riverdale NY – May 16

Old Guard Museum for Riverdale NY

The Old Guard of the City of New York will be moving its art and artifacts collection to a new building in the Fieldstone Estates section of Riverdale in July-August 2017.   In anticipation of the move a large room will be prepared to display Old Guard artifacts.  The artifacts include large oil paintings, antique rifles and muskets, Tiffany metal works, uniforms and three large stained glassed panels that will be showcased in light boxes.   The room measures approximately 40′ x 25′ and is is currently raw space with approximately ten foot high ceilings.  There are no windows.
I am looking for a talented, hard working person who can designed the new museum space.  This includes the electrical lighting, placement of artworks with relation to heating system, and general aesthetics.  The Old Guard has its collection online with the dimensions of each piece.  Historic photographs of Old Guard displays of weapons and swords will available for reference.
This is a time sensitive project and the candidates should have some interior design experience.
