Fall 2023 Issue
Welcome to the Fall 2023 issue of NYU’s Greene Street Review, the CAS English Department’s cultural critique magazine. We’re excited to share some of New York City’s finest creatives, writers, critics, and more in this semester’s publication. For the first time, we’ve published audio storytelling, ironic how-to’s, short stories, and poetry, all alongside our beloved mediums of essays, reviews, and interviews. We hope that the zany, subversive, fantastic, analytical, insightful, and otherwise mind-boggling works that were produced by your college-aged greater NYC peers inspires and amazes. Let us know your favorites with an email or hit us up on Instagram (@greenestreview)!

Alex Palomo, Essays Editor
Alex Palomo is a senior studying English Literature at NYU. His current research interests are speculative fiction and Latino writings. When he’s not writing or reading for his studies, he can be found repelling potential conversants by incessantly opining on literature and stationery.
Alex Ridley, Man of Many Hats
Alex Ridley (he/him) is the Publicity Chief, Senior Events Coordinator, and Social Media Manager for The Greene St. Review’s Fall 2023 Issue. San Francisco born and raised, based in the East Village. He’s an Anthro major and English minor, but just picked up another minor in BEMT to try out data analysis and sync licensing in the music industry. He’s been spending his free time playing guitar, and is currently having a strike of producing inspiration. Songwriter collaborations very welcome, DM @415ridley. He’s also a copyeditor for West 10th, The NYU Creative Writing Program’s Undergraduate Literary Journal. Before that, he stage managed a bunch, and will still SM/AD/Direct your show if you ask. He hopes to create one project he’s proud of in every artistic medium.

Feel free to reach out on Venmo or anywhere to discuss these hobbies!

Jennifer Reyes-Morales, Copy Chief

Nathan Burke (he/they) is a senior studying journalism and politics at NYU, focusing on podcast, radio, and print journalism. Nathan spends his free time learning hyperspecific facts on Wikipedia (Did you know that the East River isn’t a river? It’s a tidal estuary) and stressing about the state of the journalism job market. He has been with the Greene Street Review for two years and is excited to hand the publication off to his lovely team of editors.
