See You
By Levi Langley
Peripatetic wanderings, wondering
oh, how I wish I could just lie still but
what a gift it is to feel
this way about the words that get me through
my day and it seems as though
I get them through theirs.
To keep them safe I wield
each letter as a part of me,
placing them in each ear
and holding them there
as they cling to my skull. I watch
once I know
they will tether and coil
into my soil sinking towards to reach
the lost but remembered days buried
into me, somehow I know each word can see–
I am not sure how but you made them see
