In Chapter 8, “ The Wanderings,” there are a lot of events that would connect to some great songs. Without a doubt, this chapter can include some fierce songs, revengeful songs, and sad songs. For example, I’d say that the song “Fields” by Giveon is perfect for this chapter overall. This is because the song is about stepping up and not letting anything/anyone hold you back. An exact lyric from the song reads “ This is my journey, I won’t take a knee, This is not for you, This is for me / These fields, they won’t devour me / These fields are gonna empower me.” These lyrics best describe Yudhistira and his constant belief in God and coming up from darkness. He is filled with hope and he won’t let “the fields devour him.” This song also connects to the ending of the chapter when the Pandavas were headed to Hastinapura with weapons to get revenge against the Kauravas. It reveals that they aren’t backing down from what they want!
