In The Mahabharata | In Your Version | |
Setting (where are the characters, what are they doing, where were they before the scene started / where will they be after it ends?) | Duryodhana and Sakuni are in the back of a chariot after leaving Hastinapura. | They took the train to Prospect Park and before they went home they went to get ice cream. |
Characters (who are they, what’s their gender, what are they wearing, what are they like?) | Duryodhana is a man and he’s sort of a firecracker – he just keeps going off at random times. This is a result of his bitterness and jealousy towards the Pandavas. Sakuni is also a man, and he is like a peacemaker: he’s trying to avoid or even prevent issues with the Pandavas. They’re both probably wearing some traditional or formal attire that’s attached to the Hindu culture. | Hana is a female and she’s wearing a crop top and shorts (since its summer) and she’s very headstrong. She’s passionate and sometimes that can turn into anger or bitterness if it doesn’t go her way. Suki is also a female and she’s a peaceful, calm person. She likes wearing dresses and just wants everyone to be friends. But never get it twisted: she can get really mad when push comes to shove. |
Want/need (what do the characters want or need in this scene? Why?) | Duryodhana wants revenge and to embarrass the Pandavas, whilst Sakuni wants to maintain peace and stop both parties from fighting. | Hana wants to confront Junie because Junie keeps bothering her and her significant other, meanwhile, Suki, who is friends with Junie, is trying to have the girls talk and work it out. |
Action (What is happening?) | A conversation on the way to Hastinapura. | A conversation at the park. |
Resolution (How is the scene resolved?) | Sakuni said, instead of fighting, to challenge them to a game of dice. | Suki convinces the girls to meet up in the hopes that talking it out will prevent a fight. |
