Summer Internship Program

The past cohort from the summer internship program consisted of a small group of undergraduates, who worked closely with graduate and doctoral students, as well as, the PI of the Culture, Stigma, and Psychosis lab. Throughout the summer, interns were trained in a variety of research methods, and engaged in several projects, including:

    • A literature review for the proposal of the “China Implementation Science R01”, which is a scale-up of the “686” first episode psychosis registry project in China.
    • A systematic review on the benefits of exercise interventions on cognition for individuals with psychosis. The results of this review were presented at the 2019 APA convention.
    • “The What Matters Most: Chile & Argentina” project, which interns contributed to by qualitative coding factors impacting stigma in interview transcripts.
    • Interns attended training for a de-stigmatizing intervention with Chinese American adults with depression, Peter Na (NYU Resident)’s project.
