Potential research topics include:
- Development of neural network potentials for photochemistry in complex environments
- Development of polarizable embedding methods for photochemistry
- Nonadiabatic simulations of UV-initiated photophysics/chemistry in fluorescent proteins
- Quantum chemistry methods for electronic excited states
- Theoretical studies of the mechanisms of photosynthesis and DNA damage
- Ab initio simulations of the ultrafast dynamics of low energy electron-induced chemistry
