“I really took the initiative to get in shape during my time in D.C, from eating healthier to going to Balance Gym three times a week. At first I was worried about not having a meal plan, but it actually helped me start making my own meals. My roommate, Danny Zheng and I tried meal-prepping. It didn’t really work out but I made sure to stay committed to a balanced eating schedule. If I get hungry between meals, I snack on carrots, almonds or berries while working on assignments. The reading room is a good place because of the sunlight it gets even if it is too cold to go outside. On nicer days, I find myself jogging a lot around the block or to the park; it is very stress relieving. Since we don’t have a traditional campus, it’s easy to just stay in the entire day so my advice to future NYU DC students is to definitely go outside and enjoy some fresh air.”
