All You Can Be looks at the ways notions of the self are constructed, contextualized and invented. Underlying these works is the idea that who we are is often a choice and that can revealed and rearranged, transformed and mutated. As part of these investigations, both language and materials are looked at, as are space and a sense of place. Whether in video or performance, paintings or photos, each of these artists asks the question: What does it mean to be All You Can Be?
