ARTIST STATEMENT:

“As a photographer, I have recently been focusing on street photography and observing how COVID has changed the way people behave in public. Due to COVID, there seems to be a strong increase in isolation and loneliness and I think just being out in public signals a strong desire for any sort of connection with others. I also have a background in abstract photography and think this medium really captures the uncertainty of the current moment. My project strives to capture public moments of isolation and connection in this unique moment in time, while also leaning into the the beauty and confusion of abstraction.”
