This link below leads to a map illustrating the cities of resistance that are the focus of my fellowship research. From Southeast Asia to Latin America, each city faces its own unique challenges, but they all fight for the same cause: the Right to the City.
I refer to this map as a network of resistance because, regardless of the lack of a direct connection between these cities, it is nonetheless a network based on the concept of resistance against displacement, gentrification, and commodification. Moreover, despite the fact that these cities have different contexts and histories, both developed and developing, they have produced similar resistance strategies, though with varying technicalities and practicalities. This map could almost serve as a geographical network for sharing best practices to protect our right to the city.
