746 STAC Access

Basic Access

Good for students working on class projects or anyone who needs quick access, basic access users can use the space during staffed hours Mon-Thurs, 5pm-9pm. Basic access grants you the ability to reserve sewing, embroidery, and knitting machines in advance. You can also use the Cricut and Flashforge on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students who wish to get basic access should familiarize themselves with our general safety rules and take the online quiz, and then we will contact you with instructions.

Advanced Access

For those who want to become part of the culture at 746, advanced access grants users self-serve swipe access to the space and the ability to reserve and use machines at any time, including during summer and winter breaks. To be granted advanced access, you must first read our general safety rules and take the online quiz, and then sign up for a one-on-one training with a STAC Expert.

Specialized Access

For users who have taken several workshops and have advanced skills in specific areas, we have specialized access. Specialized users have swipe access and the ability to reserve basic machines, and can also access more complex machines: advanced 3D printers and materials, serger sewing machines, soldering irons, and power tools. Speak with your workshop instructors or a STAC expert to learn more about specialized access.
