The Arc is located in Long Island City, the fastest growing neighborhood in America. Interns would work alongside Founder (John Belitsky of DMNDR) & COO Rich Pawelczyk (formerly coo of Webster Hall). This is a unique opportunity to participate in the brand new build out of what will be one of the largest and busiest venues around. Our smaller stage allows us to have a trajectory for our artists from one room to the other (1690 standing capacity) Much filming and new media will be involved. Description of Internship: DMNDR at The Arc is a private corporation, we have just began working on The Arc’s new non profit which will operate in the same art world via space grants for artists, recording studio grants, and new work grants. We are therefore looking for interns on both sides (non profit in the arts, as well as experience with arts -for – profit)
Grant writers, development, researchers, and fundraising are skills for the non profit end.
The for profit intern would need fundraising skills and event management.
We will also be working with food production for events and new media.
We are committed to building up a strong community relationship with our local neighborhood as well as the larger arts scene, and have various planned programming to help develop that further.
The following description is a cross over of our three separate posts for camera, sound, and music editing. We are also looking for people experienced in social media, they should view Arc owner’s online blog DMNDR for content cues, we will be doing more of the same for concerts, theatrical events, music sessions, and behind the scenes content at DMNDR’s physical home, The Arc.

The Intern will work with directly with John Belitsky directly on original media including live concerts, sessions, podcasts, and interviews with artists, and become part of the media channel development team for our in house docuseries. If it is in theater or non profit they will work directly with Sari Caine. The Intern will be exposed to real world experience working with clients, musicians, artists, in one of the largest music and performance venues in the country. They will also have the opportunity to pitch and potentially develop their own projects, work independently, and make valuable connections within the music, theater, media and recording industries. The sound engineer internship is ideal for a bonafide audiophile / film / theater / arts-lover who wants hands-on experience and is looking to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and culturally rich environment. A keen attention to detail along with an eagerness to develop totally fresh media and new sound and be strong at working independently.

Availability (depending on position): 10-16 hours/week, with a minimum commitment of three months expected. There is flexibility offered in the hours and days worked, which will be mutually agreed upon. A travel stipend is offered, as well as college or grad school credit. Interns may be considered for full-time employment.

Media Editors a strong knowledge of Premiere
