Google apps for education at NYU includes 2 categories:
- Email (NYU gmail)
- Drive (cloud-based storage space for files; allows for the creation of documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, and more)
- Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides
- Groups (forum and group email tool)
- Sites (website)
- Hangouts (synchronous video calls)
The core apps allow for easy communication, collaborative content creation/editing, and sharing. Everything is stored in the cloud, so you can access these apps from most Internet-enabled devices.
Please note that in Spring 2016, NYU IT will be piloting the integration of Google Groups and Drive into NYU Classes. Contact us for more information.
