Teaching Squares: Peer Teaching Observation & Networking Opportunity for Spring 2026

A&S Teaching Excellence & Innovation is excited to partner once again with CAS Academic Affairs in sponsoring Teaching Squares, a faculty networking program based on peer observation of teaching in an inherently informal, constructive, and non-evaluative format. Arts and Science faculty team up into small groups of three or four, take turns visiting each other’s classes, and get to know each other over coffee and lunch. Complete information is here.

Participants are not evaluated, and the time commitment is low: we simply ask that you attend an orientation event, and work with your groupmates to visit classes and meet up around our ever-busy schedules. All participants will receive a Letter of Completion, detailing their time commitment and suitable for inclusion in renewal packages or other teaching portfolios.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out this Google Form by Friday, January 16, 2026. Please list all of the courses you will be teaching in Spring 2026 for which you would like to participate in Teaching Squares. We hope to accommodate everyone who applies, but participation will depend on a sufficient number of applicants in similar fields and course types.
