The following tools are available by request within NYU Classes. Please contact us to request one or more tools in your NYU Classes site(s). You may fill out the pilot request form linked here and contact your dedicated educational technologist to learn more about how to best incorporate new tools into your course.
Attendance tool: a tool that facilitates recording students’ daily attendance. Recommended since students can check their attendance progress without having to email the instructor.
Google Groups integration: automatically generates a Google Group email based on your latest roster (syncs with adds/drops). Recommended if you want to share Google Drive content, such as Drive and Docs, with your class with one single email.
Voicethread: a multimodal discussion tool that allow participants to respond to prompts via audio, text, and video. Recommended if you want students to build presentations and discussions that are more than just text. Learn more and see examples on our Voicethread tutorials page.
Webex integration: a web conferencing tool with video, chat, and presentation capabilities. Recommended if you want to hold virtual office hours, hold lecture if you are away for a conference, or have students connect across global sites.
