Thanks to dh+lib and JSTOR Daily for spreading the news about our recently published Guidelines for Preservability in New Forms of Scholarship and Preservability Self-Assessment Tool. We appreciate you!

The Embedding Team is proud to announce the publication of the Guidelines for Preservability in New Forms of Scholarship and a new Preservability Self-Assessment Tool.
Updated and with a new title, the seventy-two Guidelines recommend actions that publishers can take to create digital publications that are more likely to be preservable. They are meant to be shared with authors, editors, digital production staff, software developers and those who design and maintain publishing platforms. An interactive web version of the guidelines is published at https://preservingnewforms.dlib.nyu.edu.
The Preservability Self-Assessment Tool was developed to help scholars, publishers, and preservation specialists assess the preservability of complex digital scholarship. It is to be used in conjunction with the Guidelines for Preservability in New Forms of Scholarship. A web version of this tool is available HERE.
We invite you to read the Press Release.
