Join us for an interactive session of the Ecosystem Hub’s Effective Leadership program. This first session lays the groundwork for the series by exploring what it takes to be an effective leader. Leadership is not just an inherent trait but an activity that can be developed. Ellen Schall, with her extensive experience and study in leadership across various roles and contexts, will guide us in examining how to engage in leadership and begin crafting our own leadership approach.

The “Building Successful Teams” workshop will help prepare emerging leaders through a discussion of key strategies for cultivating a positive and supportive team culture while achieving high performance. Led by Stacie Bloom and Suzy Welch, this session will cover essential topics beyond hiring and retention, including aligning purpose, recognizing and leveraging individual strengths, boosting team morale and motivation, and fostering authentic communication.

Join us for “Faculty Innovation & Entrepreneurship,” a workshop designed to help faculty members bring their research to market. This session will cover:
- Intellectual property, including provisional and issued patents
- Customer discovery and assessing the market potential for your technology
- Starting a company, managing disclosures, and addressing conflict of interest issues
- Licensing options for IP, whether to your own company or others
- Various funding opportunities, including non-dilutive grants, venture capital (pre-seed, seed, series A, etc.), and research funding from other companies
