This workshop is designed to equip faculty with the knowledge needed to bring their research to market. It will cover a range of topics, including intellectual property, such as provisional and issued patents, customer discovery, and understanding the market potential for new technologies. Participants will also learn about starting a company, managing disclosures, and navigating conflict of interest issues. Additionally, the workshop will explore options for licensing intellectual property, whether by the faculty’s own company or others, and will discuss various funding opportunities, including non-dilutive grants, venture capital (pre-seed, seed, series A, etc.), and research funding from other companies.
