    • Learned Unity for building the AR prototype. 
    • Designed detailed user flows and interactions and built an initial AR based prototype on unity. 
    • Participated in the Tandon Research Excellence Exhibit where we presented our work and got valuable feedback.

  • Spring 2024 Accomplishments: Over this semester, I acquired the skill of using Unity through a combination of tutorials on YouTube and a Meta AR Foundation course on Coursera. I helped to craft engaging scenarios and prompts to incorporate into the Unity prototype. Our team presented the prototype at the Tandon Research Excellence Exhibit 2024.

  • I mastered Unity by utilizing tutorials from YouTube and completing a Meta AR Foundation course on Coursera.
  • I partially  completed the IRB process for our team. (The rest are supplement materials that can be easily made). 
  • I reviewed all our research for the poster for the Tandon Research Excellence Exhibit 2024.
  • Lastly, my team and I created awareness regarding accessible job training materials to accommodate people with autism in the Tandon Research Excellence Exhibit 2024.

  • Spring 2024 Accomplishments: This semester I tried to focus on improving accessibility on the NYU IDM department floor. I noticed that people were having trouble getting through the automatic door with the allotted time that it was open so I communicated with facilities about possible solutions and was able to get the doors time extended so its easier for people to pass through.

  • Spring 2024 Accomplishments: For this semester, my accomplishment was learning more about space accessibility with a focus on museums. Alongside Heartshare and Spandita, my team’s main goal was to not only learn how to make one of Heartshare’s spaces more accessible but also propose a potential solution for future renovations. Since I was studying abroad in Paris, I was able to visit a lot of museums (too many actually) across Europe. It was a good opportunity for me to use my observations to aid my brainstorming process. Overall it was very insightful.

    • Explored ways to create sensory experiences via an installation
    • Figured out ways to incorporate colored lights, toys, and personalized scents in a sensory experience
    • Hosted two de-stress installations and connected with event goers while gaining feedback on the overall experience

  • Spring 2024 Accomplishments: learned more about how to slice braille stl files for less “spike-y” prints with OpenSCAD, experimented with 3D printing braille onto mesh for a flexible versatile braille, and successfully completed water music live code piece with FiLOrk students.

  • Spring 2024 Accomplishments: This spring I was able gain much more knowledge when it came to 3D printing than I previously had before. Through printing various fidget toys, I learned how to fine-tune the 3D models in a more effective way and adjust the print settings to achieve a higher quality print.

  • Spring 2024 Accomplishments: During this semester, I helped brainstorm designs for the soft mouse project and prototyped and tested designs for the Luv Michael Kitchen project. I also learned about textiles and 3D printing for the two projects.
