Sea level rise to affect 1.3 mln people in Bangladesh

People have been moving away from the coastal regions of Bangladesh to avoid the sea-level rise. The new paper by our own Prof. Maurizio Porfiri with Profs. Pietro De Lellis and ‪Manuel Ruiz Marín predicts that th‬is migration will have a cascading effect that will influence up to 1.3 million people across the country by year 2050.

American Geophysical Union: Advancing Space and Earth Science has published a feature about the study, which presents a mathematical model to predict patterns of migration due to climate change.
