New research on ionic polymers published in Physical Review Letters

A new study led by Prof. Maurizio Porfiri, a Ph.D. candidate in our lab, Alain Boldini, and Dr. Youngsu Cha of the Korea University has been published in a renowned journal, Physical Review Letters. The scientists presented a novel explanation of the phenomenon of contactless actuation of ionomer membranes in salt solution. The explanation is based on the process of solvation – the interaction between solute and solvent molecules in a solution.
