I was born and educated in Canada, where I attended Trent University and Carleton University. I went to Christ’s College, Cambridge for my PhD, followed by a junior research fellowship at Churchill College. My first “real job” was at the London School of Economics, followed by stints at Penn, Pittsburgh and Boston University. I’ve been teaching and doing research at NYU since 1996. My current research interests include general equilibrium theory and financial economics, with a focus on financial crises, banking regulation, and market illiquidity. I hope you’ll take a look at the rest of the site and find something of interest. (Curriculum Vitae)
