Phase 1: Post 1 Identity, Diversity and Technology

The words; diversity, identity, and technology have been redefined since their conception and will continue to be redefined as society progresses. The impact these words have when they are redefined are indicative of social movements, like what it means to be a part of the transgender community, where identity is now more than a monolith. All of these terms have been redefined through social movements, and each variation of the word comes with its own history. Technology once meaning a systematic study of the arts is now connotated with machines, AI and the future of society. When the conversations shift from diversity to identity, the line distinguishing them is oftentimes blurred. It seems as though you cannot have one without the other. Just like identity can be used to put people in a bubble, confined to one set standard of thinking, often times the term diversity can be used to do the same thing. Where peoples variation of attributes can place them into categories rather than placing them in fitting areas where people can excel. These three words will carry on, being redefined, and being used to impact movements. All used to reshape political and economic standards and policies.
