Google Tables is a product management tool available in Beta. It offers a variety of workspaces and project management templates to manage projects as well as notification automation for various tasks. Some of the pre-made templates include Kanban, User Research Database, Design Asset Management, and Staff Directory. Templates can be customized based on project needs, and a variety of templates and configurations can live in the same workspace. Wooclap is a real-time polling software that allows instructors to engage with their students and gauge their understanding of the material. Students respond to your questions and polls via a web link on their mobile devices, making this an ideal tool for remote and in-person instruction. Some of the activities offered include multiple-choice, find-a-number, polls, word cloud, and open questions. Venngage: This is a great tool for creating several different types of visual materials, such as infographics, presentations, reports, diagrams, and lesson plans. The tool has a variety of templates for you to choose from, and you’ll find the templates’ ease-of-use convenient when you want to build visuals in a short amount of time. Kaltura Capture: This is a screen-recording software native to NYU Stream. Using this software requires the user to download a desktop application that they can use to record their screen, themselves, or both simultaneously. Videos captured with the software are hosted in the user’s private NYU Stream Library. This screen recording software has the added benefit of working offline. FREE
Express Capture: Is a recording tool found within NYU Stream. This tool allows for members of the NYU community to record video messages. This tool does not allow for screen recording. FREE
Loom: This is a screen recording platform offering both a desktop client and Google Chrome extension. Users can select how they want to record to suit their needs with the desktop client having a few additional annotation tools. When the recording is done, it automatically uploads to the user’s Loom account where they can change the privacy and invite selected viewers to use the video. FREE/PAID
Vimeo Record: A Google Chrome extension that allows users to easily record their screen. The video is automatically uploaded to Vimeo where users can change the title, privacy, and other features before sharing it with students. Free accounts can upload up to 5GB of content a week. FREE/PAID
