My Exercise:
Exercise Reflection:
My experience with the tutorial was overall not that satisfactory. I found that the two-hour exercise was not fit for beginner creators like me. I had to learn about all of the other controls and features on my own in other tutorials or online forums. The video was too fast-paced, and was not informative at many times, as the creator would perform tasks off-screen and so on.
My Character:
Character Reflection:
Creating my own character in Cinema 4D was much easier since I had practice with several other tutorials online. I did struggle with the creation of some sections like the head, eyes, and body, all for separate reasons. The head, I had spent the most amount of time on since it was the first part of “Alex” I would be working on. The shaping was perfectly fine, but there were complications with smoothing all the edges out and making the head appear rounder than it was. The eyes were difficult as I wasn’t sure how to create oval shapes without using the capsules and so on. Lastly, I got lucky with the body by using a cone shape and then repeatedly adding in several “loop cuts” in order to create the jagged texture at the bottom of the body. Overall it was a nice and knowledge-packed experience.
Hi Celine!
that looks nice. I’m glad you were able to make your own character.
I’ll take your comment and try to find another tutorial for next time.
