Laura Galindo (1987) is a cultural journalist who has been awarded with Simón Bolívar National Journalism Award twice, in 2018 and 2019. She is a second-year student at New York University’s MFA Program in Creative Writing in Spanish. She graduated as piano interpreter at the Pontifical Xaveriana University in Bogotá and holds a Master of Music from EAFIT University in Medellín, and a Master of Journalism from the University of the Andes in Bogotá. She is the Director of the radio station Señal Clásica, which has been part of Radio Nacional de Colombia since 2016. She has written monthly entertainment columns for Cromos and Diners for the last three years. Her texts have been published by El Espectador, El Malpensante, Soho, Credencial, Arcadia, Vice en Español and De justicia. She was an associated professor at the Universidad of the Andes from 2018 to 2019, and since 2019 has taught in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese of New York University.
