NYU Ph.D Student Travel Support
CV Starr NYU A&S Ph.D. Economics Travel Funding provides NYU FAS Economics 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th year doctoral students with travel grants on a reimbursement basis to support presentations of their research at professional conferences, meetings, and workshops. Presentations must be listed on the event program and the student must be listed as the official presenter of the research in order to be eligible for a grant from the center. Funds may not be used for attending special educational programs. Please visit the CV. Starr Center for Applied Economics’ Travel Funding webpage for NYU Arts & Science Economics Ph.D. Students for more information on this program.
Additional travel funding support is available from the GSAS Dean via the Dean’s Conference Fund, which has extremely early deadlines. Applications for Period I are accepted between Oct. 1 and Oct. 11 for conferences being held from Dec 1 to Mar 31. Applications for Period II are accepted between Feb. 1 and Feb. 11 for conferences being held from Apr 1 to Jul 31. Applications for Period III are accepted between Jun. 1 and Jun. 11 for conferences being held from Aug 1 to Nov 30. For more information on this program, please visit their website.
NYU Student Government Assembly (SGA) Conference Attendance Funding is available to NYU students, both undergraduate and graduate, and is limited to one travel award per academic year. The award is not guaranteed, and requests are considered on a first-come, first-served basis. See the (SGA) Conference Funding for more information.
