Prof. Uysal was awarded the 2023 TÜBİTAK Science Award

CT&T Lab Director Prof. Dr. Murat Uysal was awarded the 2023 TÜBİTAK Science Award in the Engineering Sciences category for his contributions to the field of optical wireless communications. The TÜBİTAK Science Awards are the highest scientific distinctions in Türkiye, given by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) annually to Turkish scientists who have made outstanding contributions at an international level. This year, the awards were named the 100th Year Science Award to mark the centennial anniversary of the Turkish Republic. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosted the awards ceremony on December 27, 2023 at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, with nearly 2000 attendees.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
CT&T Lab Director Prof. Dr. Uysal became the recipient of 2023 Mustafa Prize in Information and Communication Science and Technology category for his contributions to the field of optical wireless communications.

The Mustafa Prize was established in 2015 for the recognition of outstanding researchers and scientists of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states and is referred to as the “Muslim Nobel” by the Science Magazine. The award ceremony was held on October 2, 2023 at the  Chehel Sotoon Palace in Isfahan with over 1000 attendees.
