Welcome to Designing for Creative Physical Computing!
Designing for Creative Physical Computing is a VIP (Vertically Integrated Project) under the direction of Dr. Kayla DesPortes and Professor Benedetta Piantella. The project builds on their research examining design of educational experiences and environments for physical computing. The team explores the design of both the physical and digital space in order to support the integration of computing into artistic practices and creations. For example, creating a physical computing learning environment that supports the exploration of poetry, mural design, or dance. The students involved in this project examine the hardware, software, and physical design of tools for providing non-experts with flexibility, agency, self-efficacy, and knowledge to build creative designs with computing.
