Shane Droogan is a sophomore at NYU Stern. He’s currently studying finance. He drinks a lot of coffee while studying finance at Stern. He doesn’t like finance very much. He doesn’t particularly like coffee either. He does like movies. He likes movies a lot. He likes movies so much, in fact, he decided to take an elective called Cell Phone Cinema, where he wouldn’t have to go out and buy an expensive camera. He doesn’t like spending money. It’s a wonder why he came to New York City in the first place. It wasn’t for the rent. It certainly wasn’t for the weather.
Probably for the pizza.
Shane hopes his films can effect his viewer in some way. They may not enjoy them, or laugh at the jokes, or cry at the tragedies, but perhaps, when the credits roll, and the lights turn on, and they toss the leftover kernels of their popcorn in the trash, maybe, just maybe, they’ll walk away and think, “Well that was something”.
