There’s no shortage of media chatter about the scarcity of women graduating from science, technology, engineering, and math programs and the low number of female workers pursuing careers in technology. In 2017, NYU launched Women in Information Technology to encourage women in IT-related professions at NYU to reach their fullest professional and personal potential by pursuing University career opportunities and taking advantage of professional resources.
Bjork has long been interested in the intersection of technology and nature. In June of 2016, Bjork appeared onstage at the Tokyo Miraikan Museum wearing a mask designed and printed by professor Neri Oxman at MIT’s Mediated Matter Lab based on 3D scans of Bjork done at NYU’s LaGuardia Studio.
Teaching & Learning
NYU’s College of Global Public Health recently collaborated with educational design technologist Sharon Kay to develop a course for the CGPH’s Master’s program in Public Health. The course was created by Associate Professor Danielle Ompad in collaboration with the Digital Studio.
