Compass is a student-run publication from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study founded in 2018 to replace The Gallatin Review after printing was defunded by Gallatin in 2017. Grace Easterly was responsible for archiving past issues of The Gallatin Review and for creating a new, online reincarnation of the publication. Despite the unwilling severance from print-based media, we here at Compass are taking full advantage of all that digital publishing has to offer in the spirit of our student body’s love and innovative use of modern medias.
