Screening of “Persepolis” – Friday, April 28, 2017

Join us at NYU on April 28th for a screening of Persepolis (2007), the award-winning film by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud, and a discussion about self-expression, identity, and the search for belonging.

When: Friday, April 28, 2017 at 7:00pm
Where: 19 University Pl, New York, NY, 1st Floor Auditorium

Based on Satrapi’s graphic novel about her life in pre and post-revolutionary Iran and then in Europe, Persepolis traces Satrapi’s growth from child to rebellious, punk-loving teenager. In the background are the growing tensions of the political climate in Iran in the 70s and 80s.
