EQUIPMENT RESERVATIONS:

Viewing Items

Click “Collaborative Arts” to see all equipment:

From there, you should see a list of both items and kits. Items are sorted by categories, whereas kits have their own section and consist of multiple items grouped together.

Click a category to see a list of items within that category.

Reserving one item for checkout

When ready to reserve an item or kit, click on that item to bring up the details for reservation.

From there, select both your pickup and return times from the left hand fields or by dragging your cursor along the available calendar dates and times. Multiple reservations can be maintained at the same time. Note that most items may only be reserved for 72 hours – you should time this appropriately for a Friday check-out especially. If you have a special request, contact jori.johnson@nyu.edu.

Select the “Submit Reservation” button to reserve your equipment. Visit the Equipment Room at the start of your reservation and a student worker will check out the equipment with you.

After your reservation has been submitted, you may view it by clicking on the “My Items and Reservations” tab. You will also receive an email confirmation detailing your reservation.

Reserving multiple items

To reserve more than one item, you will want to build a cart. Adding items to a cart can be done by selecting “Add to Cart” from an item’s page or a list of items in a category.

Select the cart icon at the top of the screen to take you to your cart’s reservation page.

As with single-item reservations, select the block of time you wish to reserve your items for and then select the “Submit Reservation” button beneath.

Special Permission Items

Some kits in the Collaborative Arts Equipment Room require special training and permission to use. These kits will be labeled accordingly in the equipment list.

If you do not have the training required to use this equipment, you will receive a message informing you when attempting to reserve those items. If you believe this message is in error, please contact sarah.ryndak@nyu.edu.

  • Once your equipment is reserved, come to the 12th floor at the time of the reservation and let the Equipment Room Assistant know you are there to pick up your reservation.

When it’s time to pick up the equipment, proceed to checkout:

  • Go meet the Equipment Room Assistant on duty on the floor.
  • Now is a good time to go through your equipment list one more time, making sure you have everything you need.
  • The Equipment Room Assistant will check out the equipment to you, by converting your Reservation into a Loan (and applying any changes needed).
  • Once checked out, the equipment is now officially in your hands.

When you’re done with the equipment:

  • Meet up with the Equipment Room Assistant during hours of operation.
  • The Equipment Room Assistant will help you check in the gear.
  • Did something break or malfunction? Alert the Equipment Room Assistant on duty or email tisch.collabarts@nyu.edu
