The Center for Religion and Media at New York University is one of the Centers of Excellence funded by The Pew Charitable Trust. The Center’s goal is to develop and broaden interdisciplinary and cross-cultural scholarship, pedagogy, and public knowledge of religion and media.

The Center for Media, Culture and History addresses issues of representation, social change, and identity construction embedded in the development of film, television, video and new media worldwide.
