I’ve shared my priorities for the year with your leaders. It is important for you to know what my priorities are, and how your work contributes to our success and has a positive impact on the NYU community. You may not have a formal leadership role, however the decisions you make and the actions you take are what makes NYU run.
- Improve our cybersecurity. The foundation of cybersecurity is high quality and professional management of our information technology.
- Create a culture where IT at NYU is a great place to work and every individual is valued while making a maximum contribution to NYU.
- Strengthen the partnership between/across all the IT units at NYU.
- Improve our ability to get the right people access to the right information, at the right time.
- Continuously improve our ability to deliver high quality projects and services cost effectively.
- Continue to build and evolve the leadership role of the CIO Directs. With three new members and others on the team assuming revised roles and responsibilities, we will continue to position ourselves to effectively serve NYU.
This will be an exciting year. NYU IT will be adapting to the new hybrid work environment as we help our students, faculty and staff deliver world-class research, teaching and service. I appreciate all you do for our community, and welcome your support for these priorities.
