C13DEPT135
Pulse Sequence dept135
Experiment Description
    • Signal enhancement by polarization transfer from 1H to 13C with spectral editing
      • DEPT135: θ = 135, CH and CH3 positively phased, CH2 negatively phased.
      • Other options:
        • DEPT45: θ = 45, all protonated carbons are shown
        • DEPT90: θ = 90, primarily methane carbons, possible small breakthroughs of some other signals

Experiment Setup
    • Use getprosol or prosol button to read in proper pulse parameters
    • Set cnst2 = 1JCH coupling constant: default cnst2 = 140 Hz
    • If poor signal cancellation is possible
      • Use at least 8 dummy scans (ds)
      • Keep temperature constant, turn on VT
      • Use proper pulse widths, always update prosol pars
      • Ensure the sample is locked
Processing Notes
    • Phase so that CH/CH3 peaks are positive and C/CH2 are negative
