Formulatrix Rock Imager 1000 is an automated imaging system designed for protein crystallization screening. Capture superior-quality images of your protein drops while learning critical information about your crystals.
The RI-1000 is a powerful tool with optimized optics for crystal clear images, an automated design for speed (image entire 96-well plate in 3 minutes) and is compatible with microbatch, SBS and LCP plates.
Screening conditions with various imaging methods can be used to discover more about your crystals. Screening options include 12x zoom visible light optics and a fixed zoom UV optics (FOV of 2.7 mm).
The instrument also has precise temperature control from 30°C to 4°C.
The acquisition of the Formulatrix instruments (NT8 and RI1000) would not be possible without the NIH supplemental funding (R01GM117921 and R01GM117118) granted to Professors Paramjit Arora and Nate Traaseth.
