The X-Ray Diffraction Facility at the Department of Chemistry of New York University is dedicated to materials identification and characterization through Single-Crystal and Powder X-Ray Diffraction (SCXRD and PXRD) analysis. Researchers may have analysis done by the facility specialist or perform the work by themselves after training.
The facility houses a Rigaku SmartLab X-ray diffractometer, Bruker AXS SMART APEXII Single Crystal Diffractometer, and a Bruker AXS D8 DISCOVER GADDS Microdiffractometer. More information can be found a the X-ray Diffraction Facility website.
The Shared Instrumentation Facility also has a Formulatrix RockImager 1000 and a Formulatrix NT8 drop-setter for automated sample preparation to screen protein crystallization under different conditions.
