Sitting in the NMR bay (Brown 353A) to use the Bruker autoflex maX MALDI-TOF/TOF spectrometer has not been pleasant. The constant chirping of the helium recovery system and the humming of all the NMR consoles and chiller compressors can take a toll on the ears over prolonged periods. In January 2023, the instrument was moved outside to the NMR control room (Brown 357) where you can now enjoy the soothing hum of the MALDI itself. At the same time, the annual preventative maintenance check was performed and hopefully will serve you well in the new location.
