The Global Asia Program at NYU, with Centers in New York, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai, organizes research to advance the study of Asia as an unbounded space of mobility, connectivity, and territorial transformation, from ancient times to the present. We work in and across all regions of Area Studies, in a wide range of disciplines. We study technology, economics, migration, travel, tourism, language, literature, art, religion, politics, ecology, climate, health, medicine, ideas, material cultures, and more.
