Deliverables for class are described below and listed in pretty much the order that they are due. Your websites must contain all of these elements and your videos are to be hosted by NYU at stream.nyu.edu. Your web pages are required to have properly embedded content and look like any other web page on the net – including this one. A properly formatted website is a critical component to your grading.
If you are not receiving comments on your work, it is up to you to get in touch with either Professor Bardosh or me.
Assignments are due Tuesday afternoon before class.
For the February 27th class:
NO GUEST SPEAKERS!
(Thank you for helping the department out; we hope you found something useful in the process.)
• Finish showing past assignments.
• Show your post with 5 favorite movie posters:
— let us know why you like them
— how the graphic and textual elements might lend themselves to promoting your final project.
Show a :60 – :90 second continuous take with movement and sound.
Write a short bio and start thinking about what film you would like to make for your final project.
BONUS points: work with sound that you have recorded in an audio editing program (Audacity is free and works great on all platforms) and experiment with creating your own :30 – :60 second music/soundtrack. Create a post with a link (or embed) to your soundtrack (upload to stream.nyu.edu). Notify me of your posts; I will build them into a track we will listen to during class – and experiment with.
BTW: if you do not press the “Notify users about this page,” neither Professor Bardosh or I will know that you have done your assignments.
Professor Bardosh should be back from India for class.
