Since I enrolled in the class late, I was able to choose and recreate an item that I lost. The item I recreated was one of my favorite socks which has an off-white color with a bunch of smiley faces all over it. Unfortunately, I have still not found them and I am still looking forward to the day of our reunion. Creating this drawing was interesting and took me longer than I thought it would, but I learned so much and according to my memory the sock looks very similar!

Description: I lost a heart locket necklace. It had a long silver chain, and the locket was in the shape of a heart. On the front of the locket was a red heart and the back was silver.

The lost item was a mechanical pencil that was around 10 cm long. It had a rubber pencil cover at the top that is a pink/purple color and a small white eraser at the end of it. 

Reflection: This assignment was very interesting and different due to the fact that I was focused on one singular object and could delve into more detail. I had to remain aware of the grid and the position of shapes as I was going. I also had to play around with placing certain objects on top of each other. It was a fun process and I was able to practice what I had learned so far.

My partner’s lost item is a “tiny chunky cartoonish elephant rubbery greenish blue” elephant. These were her exact words when describing the item.

Reflection: While working my main focus was to keep looking at the description and trying to make it as similar as I can to the description. I really enjoyed this exercise because I started to get used to the programming language. I also started exploring new ways to implement my code which was really interesting.

CAYDEN’S LOST OBJECT

A necklace with a short, rose gold chain (inch below T-shirt) and a silver charm in the middle (a hollow square with rounded corners).

This design was very simple, but it took a while to make the chain loop design. This was very fun!

Product Description: “I recently lost an object that has a lot of meaning to me. It is a device that goes in your ear and allows you to hear music, block out the world, or talk to others on the phone. It is small and white in the shape of a capital letter P. Its tail has a silver metal trim, and the piece that goes in the ear is round and make of a soft silicone material. It specifically has the letter “L” printed on it.”

My name is Sarah Sun, and my partner is Yara. She lost a brown stuffed animal dog that was sitting and looked like a bear. I thought this project allowed me to discover more functions and command that can be used, and that was really interesting.

Reflection:  This object is not very hard to recreate, I break it down to very simple shapes and I just made some assumptions for the design.
