My Life Drawing :)

Here is my drawing of Still Life, Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh. It was slightly difficult getting all the shapes layered correctly. I was able to do it, but my code is quite long so I am wondering if there was a better way I could have done it.

This is my piece for the Coding from Life assignment. I used the j5 reference mostly but I did have to look up the color code to achieve the brown, yellow, and green in the image. It was hard for me to create precise shapes (like for the leaves) so I tried to find something similar to represent characteristics of the original image. Overall I found the assignment a lot of fun and I’m excited to create more pictures.

my code

while doing this assignment, I found working with the quad() method tricky. Especially when it came to figuring out the right x,y coordinates.

I definitely struggled with this project, mostly because I found myself having to go back and forth a lot with moving around shapes and adjusting colors.

Drawing Assignment – Katrina Morgan

I chose to do the drawing with flowers. I found it to be pretty challenging as this is my first time working with the P5.js Web Editor. In specific, I struggled with figuring out the right numbers to create bezier curves for the petals, but I was able to include three petals. I have attached a link to my work: https://editor.p5js.org/katrinamorgan/sketches/JkUTQWWTi
