Infants’ interactions with mothers and fathers offer them opportunities to develop skills across a range of cognitive and language domains. Much of our work aims to describe parents’ views, practices, and interactions with infants and toddlers. Sometimes, we investigate how mothers and fathers are similar and different in their engagements with infants, and how their behaviors in turn relate to infants’ behaviors and development within and over time.
